Lots of our clients are always surprised when they receive tonnes of leaflets through their door from other agents dying to sell their home.
Our response to that is first of all, hats off to the agents for being proactive and doing that! However, we think that really the only reason you'd want to be looking at changing your agent is if you found them being dishonest with you. Generally most agents are on Rightmove and other portals, and being on those platforms gives you the very best reach you could possibly get. You might want to consider social media reach, but in our experience, Rightmove is the big one. So if you’re happy that you know the values of your estate agent and you know what they’re going to do for you, we probably wouldn’t believe the hype of the letters you’re receiving. One thing you can do to check this though, is if you go to the website of the agent who sent you the letter and see if they have fully sold 100% of all their properties. That is the only other reason we think it might be worth changing your current agent, as you will have a VIP experience and be their only customer.
