I've just agreed a house sale on a property. Roughly when do you think completion will be? 

The reality is, the time it takes to complete can vary an awful lot. It depends on when you get an end of chain, how long your chain is, how good your solicitors are and other things. Once you've agreed to sell, there are two stages to progress the sale: One is to get an end of chain, and the other is then to do the conveyancing once it's completed. 

The chain building alone can take months and months, or it can take a week, again it really depends, but once the chain is complete and everybody is moving forward, that’s a good time to say that you should be about three months away from completion.
