My buyers solicitor keeps demanding information from me and I'm starting to get frustrated.
Feeling frustrated is completely normal when you feel like you're being sapped of information and constantly asked to do things. We understand that it can feel very one sided. Solicitors also have a way of asking very directly for what they need because they’re so busy. You might just get a very short sentence asking for what they need which can come across as quite rude sometimes.
They may be asking you things like if you’re able to provide a boiler service, and actually that will cost you money. You might feel like you're in a losing situation here, and that you're just give, give, giving and not get, get, getting. We think it's really important to try not to see the post sales experience (the conveyancing) as a tennis match, but to try to focus on the fact that you really want this property, and you really want to sell your house, and the best way of getting that done is to provide everything that's being asked for as quickly as possible.
The only way you really lose is if you lose the property you're going for, or you lose your house sale. It's really important just to be polite and try to be patient with all the things that are being asked of you throughout the sales experience.
